Our company’s name is Maila’ Ta Fan Daña, which means “come together” in CHamoru. Just as we students came together, we want to unite Guam’s community with our product and vision.
We make the pet toys by hand. Tying them and bringing the shirt yarn together symbolizes our vision and name, to unify/come together as a people.
With no cost whatsoever, we are recycling and reusing old t-shirts to make the toys. This is sustainable because the shirts are not going to waste and we make them ourselves, not from a big company or factory.
Yes, we are promoting dog toys, but the toys can be multi-functional as well. You could take apart the toy and use the yarn as a toy for your cat(s), a stress toy/fidget toy to take around with you if you are nervous.
